SIS N LIL BRO
As recent graduates Celena Lena and Tytist have respectively been individual artists in their own right for several years. Through the creative process and living under the same roof, they found their signature sound and came together to form their group as siblings: Sis N Lil Bro.
Sis N Lil Bro is the first ever brother-sister hip hop duo in the country.
They hit the national circuit when they were hand-picked to perform with Lecrae, Tye Tribbett, and Hillsong Young & Free at a packed stadium of 50,000 screaming fans at PULSE Twin Cities! Since then, they have been touring the country performing for church youth groups, festivals, and colleges. They also opened on the Kingdom tour for Kirk Franklin and Maverick City Music.
This young and fresh duo is making a big impact in the world of music and entertainment. Based in the Twin Cities of Minnesota, Sis N Lil Bro were birthed out of the vision of their father XROSS (pronounce cross) a Grammy-nominated pioneer of Christian Hip Hop and Founder of The Man Up Club & Godflow Christian Hip Hop festival.
Born into a family of artists, Celena Lena started recording at the age of 16, while her brother, Tytist, started even earlier at the age of 13 as the studio engineer. Whether it was a Celena Lena project, a Tytist project, or Sis N Lil Bro collaboration, together they have published over 16 singles, 3 EP’s, 4 albums, and over 42 music videos! Their music has been featured in hit films such as Preachers of LA, Oprah Winfrey's Amazing Grace Song & Spirit, and BET's Kingdom Business. In 2023, Sis N Lil Bro will be featured as themselves in Season 2 of the #1 hit TV Series Kingdom Business on BET+!
Celena Lena, a graduate of North Central University, is the older of the two and is quickly establishing herself as a favorite among female emcee’s throughout the country. Celena Lena is beautiful with a witty personality, a heart to serve people, and an electrifying performer. Her mission and brand are to encourage young girls and her generation to "Be Brave, Be Beautiful, & Believe." She served under Nick Hall on the PULSE outreach team.
Tytist, is a rapper, singer, songwriter, producer, and studio engineer. Tytist’s artistry has often been compared to a younger version of Lecrae. After hundreds of recording sessions, he decided to take his shot at being an emcee. He splits his time between working in the studio and competing on the basketball court. Tytist played Division I basketball for Liberty University and went on to win 3 NCAA Conference titles and has been to 3 NCAA March Madness Tournaments. He graduated early in 3 years as Cum Laude with his Bachelor’s degree and Masters’ degree in Business Finance and played as the point guard for Liberty, and Cedarville University as a graduate student.
With multiple albums, Sis N Lil Bro is a unique group that's able to connect with today's culture and generation. The group is a trifecta of talent, as both artists can carry full concerts as individuals, and as a duo. They both enjoy public speaking as well. Most impressive aside from their bangin' beats, electrifying performances and catchy lyrics is their ability to connect with youth of all cultures beyond the music on a personal level through their Sis N Lil Broments Podcast.
