Florence Mayez, A.K.A. (Flo) — born on July 20th, 2001 is an up and coming artist from Minneapolis, Minnesota, and he’s got a story to tell. In October of 2020, he fell asleep on Xanax while driving 60mph. He went through several yards, missed an oak tree by less than a foot, smashed into a parked car in a driveway, and rolled his car 3 times! Only by the Grace of God did he survive. And not only did he survive… but he popped out without a scratch!
Sadly though, he didn’t learn his lesson. Five months later, on March 30th of 2021, his heart stopped after sniffing a quarter of a laced 30mg Percocet pill. Florence doesn’t believe that he went anywhere, at least not to his knowledge, But he did spend 5 days in a coma. His parents didn’t know if he’d survive & if he did, whether or not he would have a fully functioning brain.
Well, I’m blessed to say that he is here! With a functioning brain & a voice to tell the tale. Florence has just over two years of sobriety & is following Christ. No longer is he a slave to the spirit of this age (Romans 6:1-7)
All in all - Florence has a job to do & that job is to spread the light of Christ & awareness surrounding drug abuse, trauma, mental health, e.t.c. Through his art & in any other form it may take! He would be blessed to have your ear!
